STEREO
DELUXE 150
compiled & mixed
by Mo’ Horizons
CD
Release date: 09.06.2006
Ladies and Gentlemen, it’s about time
to celebrate a very special anniversary: Stereo
Deluxe, the “slightly different”,
always independent and - on a global scale –
highly influential record label with that “certain
something” (and those soopatasty beats)
grows 150. Drumroll!
And we’re not talking age here –
this time around, Stereo Deluxe celebrates it’s
150th release. Which, all by itself, almost
implies the same biblical age and heroic stamina
in diificult times like these. There’s
really not a lot of those original and fresh
imprints around anymore these days, constantly
delivering quality styles, good taste, vision
and class in terms of “mature electronica”
for more than a decade now. No matter if you
prefer to spend your comfort time relaxing in
your deckchair, kicking it at the steering wheel
of your ride or dancing enlightened by a shiny
disco mirror ball: Stereo Deluxe loves you.
And provides a decent and very special birthday
present for all of us: quite a bunch of the
many highlights from the “then & now”
in deluxe stereoland. Chapeau!
This, music lover, is not your average, everyday
label compilation though. Stereo Deluxe comes
correct yet another time and celebrates in style.
Soulfully melting the special interests of the
most advanced freestyle djs worldwide with those
represented by all these nice humans out there
who simply dig good music with an attitude.
This affair here is put “in the mix”
by probably the most sucessful of acts on Stereo
Deluxe for now. Mo’ Horizons aka Ralf
Droesemeyer and Foh Wetzler know how to cut
the cake and cherrypick from the oh-so-tasty
labels’ back catalogue, making it “one
go, one flow” just like they used to.
Raise your glasses!
Another multi dimensional Stereo Deluxe thang!
Works very well in the background to nice up
the area – but listening to it closely,
that certain depth and class oozes from every
single note and beat. Activating the brain,
the hip bones and the feet at the same time.
Crafted to make you feel groovy. No surprise
that is, because all the projects and producers
names ring at least one bell or another. Chin-chin!
The Funky Lowlives? Hot. The Strike Boys (even
before they got nasty) – phat! Emo from
Denmark? Irie. The Bobby Hughes Combination
led by our man Espen Horne from Norway? Fantastic.
Trio Elètrico? Extra-sensual. Boozoo
Bajou? Vibing big time. Bigga Bush? Compared
to what. Minus 8 and Moodorama? Top notch. A
grace for every sound system to pump this. All
killers, no fillers. Cheers!
Plus, the impressive list of remixers involved
adds the sugar on top of the icing of that birthday
cake… Nicola Conte, Richard Dorfmeister
vs. Uptight, Butti 49, Quantic, Fred Everything,
Demon Flowers and Fort Knox 5. Damn! Sounds
like an international first call casting? It
sure is. Funky pros worldwide join forces to
boost the “deluxe” factor in your
stereo. United by the gifted hands and minds
of Mo’ Horizons from Hannover. Who, by
the way, added surplus sweetness by incorporating
two of their most famous deluxe tracks deep
within that anniversary mix: “Foto Viva”
and “Drum’n Boogaloo”, you
dig. And as you might have guessed by now, those
real hits of course also were… released
on and powered by, that’s right, Stereo
Deluxe. The nice leftfield label with the vibes
just right. Nice one. 150 releases with 150
% impact each. Respect. Rewind. Here’s
to good taste!

STEREO
DELUXE TWO
compiled by Bernd Roesler
CD SD 122-2
Release date: 01.03.04
As a label that has been for many years known
for its fine compilations, whether it be the
ground breaking “Future Lounge”
compilations, the smokin “Slow Mo”
series, warming up your living area with “Coming
Home” 1&2 or the original classic
label compilations of the “Bassic Instinct”
series, it would be hard for some to realise
that “Stereo Deluxe” has not only
over the last 9 years sought out fantastic music
from all over the world for its compilations,
but has also accumulated a stable of artists
that can proudly stand side by side with the
best in the modern music world. Classic examples
which would automatically spring to mind would
among others have to be Mo`Horizons and Boozoo
Bajou. However Stereo Deluxe has steadily and
carefully harboured and nurtured some of the
finest talents from all over Germany & Europe
for many years and there is a lot to choose
from, such is the quality of the music and artists
that seem to appear on a daily basis and continue
to excite our aural senses.
One just has to look at the
quality of releases from the musically diverse
artists from the german labels catalogue to
justify how “Stereo Deluxe” has
progressed and grown over the years: Bigga
Bush(UK), The Funky Lowlives(UK), EMO(Denmark),
Megablast(Austria), Loungechic Productions(Switzerland),
The Bobby Hughes Combination(Norway) &
Robbyn Rhodes(Finland). Of course nobody can
overlook the Homegrown talent (and there`s
lots of it) such as Boozoo Bajou, Mo`Horizons,
The Strike Boys, Trio Elétrico, Soul´n`Soda.
2003 saw the release of “Stereo Deluxe
One” the first in the next generation
of the Labels artist compilations, following
in the footsteps of the “Bassic Instinct”
series. Filled with the Best of the Best from
Stereo Deluxes artist releases, including
some rare remixes that had only seen record
decks and were until “Stereo Deluxe
One” unavailable on CD.
2004 and “Stereo Deluxe”
takes it one step further. Rather than a reflection
at what had been accomplished, your favourite
label would like to let their listeners have
a preview of what its artists are doing in
the now. Of course some of the tracks will
already be known but never in this way!
“Stereo Deluxe Two”.
Eleven previously unreleased tracks, featuring
totally new tracks recorded especially for
this compilation and some very special remixes
of recent releases never heard before.
The artists from “Stereo Deluxe”
continue to astound with “Stereo DeluxeTwo”.
All the tracks are very special and very exclusive
and all can be found on the next instalment
from “Stereo Deluxe”…Let
it Flow.
