Night over Manaus
12"
CDS SD 018
With their unbelievable
first 12” ‘Night Over Manaus’
those two musical ethnologists (this is how
they like to define themselves) give proof
of their cultural openmindedness and melt
their various influences to a great unique
style of their very own. They did a remix
for Tosca’s ‘Chocolate Elvis,
which was released via G-Stone together with
works of Bullitnuts, Rockers Hi-Fi and Uptight.

Divers
(The Funky Lowlives Mix)
12"
CDS SD 053
With the compilation ‘The
Ascension Dimension’, Stereo Deluxe introduced
the young London based label ‘Ascension’
to the lovers of lounge and club sounds outside
the UK ... this first common trip into the marvelous
world of laidback and groovy sound is followed
by the next excursion … Ascension’s
Funky Lowlives meet Stereo Deluxe’s very
own Boozoo Bajou!
The Funky Lowlives are the most important act
on ‘Ascension’ and therefor also
represented with three tracks (Notabossa, Latazz
and Latin Nights) on ‘The Ascension Dimension’.
They belong to the most in demand underground
producers in England and recently made remixes
for Tony Allen and Bah Samba.
In spring 2000, the Funky Lowlives went on club
tour with Majbour & Deluca (Stereo Deluxe
DJ Team). There they first had the chance to
listen to to ‘Divers’ by Boozoo
Bajou and got blown away. They immediately came
up with the idea of remixing this brilliant
track.
Said, done ... the Funky Lowlives gave proof
of their skills and transformed the dub oriented
’Divers’ into a reggae dancefloor
rocker of first quality … Boozoo Bajou
themselves industriously operate further on
their debut album and we hopefully will be able
to present it to you within the next months.

Satta
CD SD 069 -2
DLP SD 069-1
Release Date: 02.07.2001
Manaus – A largely
populated city situated in the heart of the
Brasilian rain Forests. Imagine, average daily
temperature 38°C. Climate, its hot its sticky,
all movement has to be slow ,methodical and
easy. Can you feel it yet ,Good…If you
can`t imagine what its like then we suggest
you slide in this Album.
Satta – The first album brought to you
by Boozoo Bajou is formally pressing Down in
the Downbeat. We could also call it Superslowmotion.
But we won`t.
Okay we´ve set the mood, now should we
get straight down to the Facts or would you
like us to give you a little Hype.
With the first three of Boozoo Bajous previous
releases they earned themselves slots on 38
Compilations.
Their first release “ Night over Manaus
“ ( Watch out – see introduction
). With this release Boozoo Bajou earned themselves
deserved respect globaly, from Wien (Vienna)
to Washington, Mombassa to Miami, the Boozoo
Bajou mix for “ Chocolate Elvis “(Richard
Dorfmeister) “ Tosca “ and their
remix of “ Rainer Trueby`s – Agogo
“which helped greatly to establish Boozoo
Bajou in the Lounge club scene Worldwide.
But the boys took it easy and didn’t let
all this fame go to their heads. They remained
calm and easy. Not even a Licencing request
from the likes of “ Palm Pictures “
(Chris Blackwell , the founder of “ Island
“ Records. The label that brought you
the legendary Bob Marley ) could phase them.
They continued to remain in Nuremberg and worked
on their Boozoo Bajou sounds, as they had all
along.
Satta – This word in Patwa Jamaican means
“Relax”. The sounds experienced
on this album are coming to you from all over
the world and will make you do just that. Here
you will find a celebration Dub like Lee Perry
with Deep Blues from Muddy Waters incorporating
the smooth as silk singing voices of Wayne Shorter
or Gerry Mulligan. This sound seems to flow
into a sea of oneness ,always changing but never
deviating from its course. To accomplish such
fluidity of sound with minimal movement(remember
its hot in that jungle) takes real skill, expertise
and craftmanship. This all comes in the form
of Florian Seyberth – Dub Reggae –
DJ , Tony Joe White Fan and Peter Heider –
Percussionist and Studio Wizard.
The ten tracks which make up this album are
so completely in one with each other and flow
so effortlessly together you will forget where……
the skip button on your Hi-Fi is. You don’t
find such a fine blend of Downbeat – Listening
every day so just sitback press play and Satta
Werner Geier from the “Uptight“-
Posse gives you his views and the lowdown on
the otherside of this info sheet.

Camioux
12" feat "Glyn
Bush" remix and vocals by "wayne martin"
CDS SD 085
Release Date: 02.09.2002
One of the gems from their
debut album in a totally new way but still with
boozoo bajou feeling ... totally worked over
and completely mindblowing.Camioux. A delicate
Ambrosia of distant New Orleans ingredients.
Secondline rhythms, Cajun Voodoo and mysterious
swamp fever dissolved in the sugars of Boozoo
Bajou production techniques. The easyness in
the flow of their beats and the elegance of
their skank is unparalleled in "electronic"
music making. Taking a sip from this potion,
you are about to find out that the next one
is even more dangerously seductive. The new versions
featuring Wayne Martin on vocals.deep deep dub
with his amazing blues-style lilt adds a deep
south feel that's hotter than fried chicken
and smoother than rye over ice. Second up on
the menu is the "wild melodica mix",
Boozoo Bajou's own moonshine brew keeping the
original style with deep blues origins but giving
a real out on the range round a campfirefeel.
"Ride' em Cowboy".
Last but by no means least, Glyn Bush aka Bigga
Bush (lightning head-ex rockers hifi. Look out
for the lightning head album on Best Seven Rec.)
takes us to another plain.taking it essentially
forward but even deeper south, so far and as
high as Sugar Loaf mountain. Spicy latin percussions
head the menu with deep basslines and smooth
as ice piano sample.
